Dosing regimen: Commercially, Librium is available in the strength of 10mg and 25mg. For the treatment of anxiety, an individual may take three to four times in a day. Normally the dose is decided depending on the condition of the patient and a patient should start with a low dose of this medication. Librium may be taken with or without food. For the treatment of alcohol withdrawal symptoms, the usually used dose is 50 to 100 mg orally, followed by repeated doses as needed until agitation is controlled.
